It’s Not Just You—This Feels Overwhelming for a Reason.
You wake up each morning, feeling like a shadow of yourself. The energy you once had is gone, replaced by a heaviness you can’t seem to shake
Sleep is elusive, your cravings are out of control, and your body feels like it’s working against you. On top of it all, the grief is relentless, showing up when you least expect it
You might wonder, “Is this just aging? Am I supposed to feel this way forever?” You’ve tried reaching out—friends, doctors—but no one seems to connect the dots between your menopause symptoms and the grief that consumes you. It feels like you’re slipping through the cracks, left to figure it all out alone.
You’re not crazy. You’re not broken. And you’re definitely not alone.
I’ve Been Where You Are.
But as a Registered Nurse, I knew deep down there had to be answers. In 2022, I decided to take back control. Through the Nutritional Therapy Association, I finally uncovered the connection between menopause, grief, and the toll they take on our bodies. The pieces started falling into place. I began to heal—not just physically, but emotionally too.
I realized I wasn’t alone in this struggle, and neither are you.
Why A7 Wellness Exists
Widows in menopause are a forgotten population. Doctors tell us, “It’s just aging,” or blame it all on grief. But what we’re going through is so much more complex than that. We’re navigating a perfect storm:
The relentless symptoms of menopause.
The deep, consuming loss of a spouse.
The loneliness of being an empty nester.
The stress of aging parents.
The struggle to find ourselves again.
At A7 Wellness, I combine my personal experience, nursing expertise, and nutritional therapy training to offer widows in menopause something they often can’t find elsewhere: empathy, answers, and a clear path forward.
Here’s How I Can Help:

MY STORY
In my mid-40s, my body started changing in ways I couldn’t explain. The weight gain came first, no matter how well I ate or exercised. Then the overwhelming fatigue, the uncontrollable sugar cravings, and heavy periods that left me feeling like I’d need a blood transfusion.
At the time, I didn’t realize I was in perimenopause. I just knew I wasn’t myself anymore.
Then came the heartbreak that shattered my world. In 2020, my family endured loss after loss—my stepdaughter in May, my husband in September, and my father-in-law the following year. Grief consumed me, leaving me numb and lost. I thought the fatigue and weight gain were just part of the sadness.
